Ingredients.

1 1/2 cup. chopped dates
3/4 cup. boiling water
1 tsp. baking soda
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking power
1/2 cup. chopped nuts
2 eggs
3/4 cup. brown sugar
1/4 cup. oil
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions.

Combine dates, water and soda in bowl. Set aside. In mixing bowl beat eggs well, blend in sugar,oil and vanilla.Stir in date mixture. Pour in dry ingredients. Don't worry if the batter is lumpy.Fill muffin pan 3/4 full.Bake at 400 for 20-25 minutes.
