The starter has been going for about 2 weeks and it is never getting the sour smell. The yeasts are alive and being fed daily yet no sour smell.

I've done it before but this time i am a bit confused

Any one have experience??
I do not buy my stsrters. We make them from scratch.

Flour and water.

The sourdough sarter is suposed to get a smell other than the yeasty dough smell that regular bread dough has.
