Peppers and garlic give this sauce real punch to top off chicken, steak or pork. Great as a taco sauce, too.

Tomato-Pepper Chili Sauce (Diabetic)

1 pound tomatoes, peeled, seeded, chopped
2 cups coarsely chopped red or yellow onions
1 large green pepper, coarsely chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon finely chopped jalapeño pepper
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 to 4 tablespoons Equal® Spoonful™

1. Heat all ingredients, except Equal® Spoonful™ , to boiling in large saucepan; reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, until mixture is a thick sauce consistency, about 20 minutes.
2. Cool; stir in Equal® Spoonful™ . Serve sauce with grilled chicken, steaks, chops - also great with tacos!

Makes 2 cups.
