Ingredients.

2 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup sugar
4 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup dried cherries
2/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Chocolate & Cherry Pancakes
2 large eggs, beaten
4 tablespoons butter, melted
1 jar pancake mix
1 3/4 cups milk



1. Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a mixing bowl. Transfer to a 32-ounce decorative jar or container.

2. Add cherries and chocolate chips and seal.

3. Attach a copy of the following cooking instructions for making Chocolate & Cherry Pancakes.


Chocolate & Cherry Pancakes

1. Combine eggs and melted butter in a mixing bowl. Stir well until well blended. Add pancake mix and stir until dry ingredients are moistened.

2. Heat a nonstick griddle pan or large skillet over medium heat.

3. Pour batter onto hot griddle 1/4 cup at a time. Cook pancakes until golden on both sides. Makes 6 servings.
