Ingredients.
1 lb. beef cut in 1/2'' cubs
1 cup. water
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. dried thyme leaves
1/8 tsp. pepper
4 cup. water
1 lge. stalk celery, sliced
1-16oz. can whole tomatoes
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
2 tsp. instant beef bouillon
1/4 tsp. dried marjoram leaves
1/4 tsp. m.s.g.
1 bay leaf
3 med. carrots, sliced
1 med. onion, chopped
Cook and stir beef in oil over medium until brown. Stir in 1 cup water, bouillon, salt, marjoram, thyme m.s.g. pepper and bay leaf. Cover and simmer until beef is tender, 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Stir in 4 cups water, the carrots, celery, onion and tomatoes (with liquid). Heat to boiling; reduce heat.Cover and simmer until carrots are tender, about 35 minutes.
