Chocolate Chip Cookies

Margarine 1 Lb OR 2 Cups.
Granulated Sugar 1 Lb OR 2 Cups.
Brown Sugar 13 OZ OR 2 1/6 Cups.
Eggs 8 OZ OR 4 Eggs.
Flour 1 Lb, 8 OZ OR 1 1/2 Quarts. OR 4 to 5 Cups.
Soda 2 1/2 tsp.
Salt 1/2 OZ OR 1 Tbsp.
Vanilla 2 1/2 Tsp.
Water, Hot 2 Tsp.
Chocolate Chips 1 Lb, 4 OZ OR 2 1/3 Cups.


1. Cream shortening and gradually add sugars. cream till light and fluffy.

2. Add eggs and Vanilla. beat to mix well.

3. Sift together flour, soda and salt. add gradually, blending after each addition. stir in chocolate bits.

4. Drop on greased baking sheet with a No. 30 scoop.

5. Bake at 375 for 8 to 10 minutes, or at 350 for 15 minutes.

makes 5 1/2 dozen cookies.
