8 bacon slices (cut in half)
1 (81/2oz. can) water chestnut, drained
1/4 cup. soya sauce
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
Arrange bacon in a 21'' x 7 1/2 dish. Cook bacon (4-5 mins) on high in microwave. Wrap a slice of bacon around each waterchestnut. Secure with wooden pocks. Combine remaining ingredents. Pour over bacon-wrapped waterchestnuts. Refrigerate several hours. Place a rack in backing dish. Arrange wrapped chestnuts on rack. Cover with paper twel and cook 1 1/2-3 mins. on high in microwave. Rotate dish 1/4 turn. Cook on high 3 mins longer. makes 16 apptizers.
