5 cups crushed strawberries
7 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon butter
1 box powder sure-jell
Pour crushed berries into large pot
Measure sugar into separate container and set it aside....
Stir sure-jell into berries...
Add butter...
Bring to a full rolling boil...(When stirred it does not stop)
Add sugar quickly...
Return to boil and boil exactly 1 minute....
Stirring constantly....
Skim foam from top with a metal spoon...
Put into jars quickly...
Put lids on jars and tighten quickly...
Turn jars up-side down for 5 minutes...
Turn upright and let cool...
Makes 6 pints....
