Ingredients.
2 tbsp. oil
1/2 tsp. salt
10 sml. mushrooms, sliced lengthwise through stems
1 sml. onion, peeled minced
1 cup. water
1 1/2 cup. bite-size cauliflower pieces
1 1/2 bite-size broccoli pieces, (stems and flowerets)
1/2 cup. water
2 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. cornstarch, dissolved
in 1 tbsp. water
Heat oil with salt in wok. Add mushrooms and onion. Stir-fry about 2 minutes until tender. Pour in water and bring to a boil. Stir in cauliflower. Cover and steam 15 minutes. Add broccoli and mix well. Cover and steam 10 minutes. stirring occasionally. Add remaining water and sugar. Bring to a simmer. Stir in dissolved cornstarch. Stir until sauce thickens and vegetables are well coated. Makes 4 servings.
