Ingredients.
1 lb. top round steak (1/4 - 1/2 in. thick) 1 envelope onion soup mix
2/3 cup. water
3 oz. can mushrooms
1 cup. sour cream
2 tbsp. flour
Trim fat off steak, and cut meat diagonally across the grain in strips 1/4 inch wide. Heat 3 tbsp. fat in skillet. Brown the meat. Add water and mushrooms (with own liquid). Stir in soup mix, heat until just to boiling point. Blend together the sour cream and flour, add to pot and cook. Remember to stir contents of pot until thickened. Serve over a bed of cooked rice.
