Ingredients.
1 lb. beef flank steak
1 tbsp. cold water
1 med. onion (cut in 1'' pieces)
1/2 cup. water
1/4 cup. sugar
1 tbsp. instant chicken bouillon
2 med. tomatoes (cut in eights)
1 tbsp. cornstarch
3 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 can (81/4oz.) pineapple chunks (drained)
1/4 cup. white vinegar
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 med. green pepper (cut in 1 inch pieces)
Directions.
Trim fat from beef. Cut with grain into 2 inch strips 1/8 inch thick. Mix cornstarch and water. Heat oil in 12in. skilled or wok over medium-high until hot. Add beef and onion, cook and stir until beef is brown (3minutes). Stir in pineapple, 1/2 cup water, sugar, vinegar, instant bouillon and soy sauce. Heat to boiling. Stir in cornstarch mixture. Cook and stir 1 minute. Serve with hot cooked rice. Serves 5.
