4 medium sized cucumbers
1 egg
1 cup. milk
1/3 tsp. salt
1 cup. all-puropse flour
fat for deep frying
Peel cucumbers and slice lengthwise into thin slivers. Discard seed center. Blend the next four ingredients together to produce a smooth batter. in a deep fryer, heat the fat to 370F. To ensure an even coating of batter, dip the cucumbers to the hot fat, turning once or twice. Remove and drain on absorbant paper. Serves 4-5 people.
