4 ounces [113 g] sesame seeds
2 ounces [56 g] chopped almonds
2 ounces [56 g] raisins
2 tablespoons [30 mL] unsweetened orange juice
Few drops vanilla extract
2 ounces [56 g] carob powder
2 ounces [56 g] poIyinsaturated margarine
18 blanched almonds, halved
Crumble sesame seeds into a food processor or a coffee grinder; mix with chopped almonds.
Plump raisins: microwave raisins in orange juice, covered, at 'MAXIMUM' , for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes; set aside for 1 minute.
Mix raisins into chopped almonds mixture.
Mix in vanilla and carob powder.
Melt margarine, covered, for 45 to 60 seconds at 'MAXIMUM; leave to cool slightly before mixing into almonds mixture.
Pour into a square dish, to cool; cut into 36 squares.
Decorate squares with blanched almond halves.
